No problem here with wet clutch approved semi-synthetic.

What brand are you using?

Don't know that specific brand. Is this a UK discounter?
All I can say is I do not have the slightest problems with Liqui Moly Pure Mineral 20W50 + 3% Liqui Moly MoS2 additive.

You should specifically look for Japanese Standards "JASO T903", "JASO-MA" or "JASO-MA2" which basically stand for "wet clutch approved".
